Most pages are now working so the only ones not really done are FAQ, History and Credits. I’ve added most of the images in the gallery still working on photoshoots and movies premieres so those may take time to upload. I started working on a video archive for the site so bare with me as I work on it. Added several new affiliates hoping to add more as time proceeds and as for Fan fiction well I already had one in the works that had to deal with Horns so I will probably link that to the site. There’s probably more but that will come when it does.

marcie   Jun 17, 2017   Comments Off on Max Teams With ‘La La Land’ Producer For Directorial Debut Teen Spirit

Max Minghella is set to make his directorial debut with Teen Spirit, an emotional underdog story set in the world of pop music that Mister Smith Entertainment is launching to buyers at the European Film Market in Berlin next month.

Minghella, who has acted in such film as The Social Network and The Ides of March, writes and directs the project with La La Land producer Fred Berger producing alongside Brian Kavanaugh-Jones under their Automatik banner. Billy Elliot star Jamie Bell, who developed the screenplay with Minghella, serves as an exec producer.

Berger is bringing his musical team from La La Land to the project, including music producer Marius DeVries (Moulin Rouge) and music supervisor Steven Gizicki, previously of Lucasfilm. Cinematographer Autumn Durald will shoot the film. Interscope Records, which is handling the La La Land soundtrack, will co-produce with Automatik and will release the film’s official soundtrack.

Teen Spirit is described as a stylish spin on the Cinderella story. It follows Violet, a shy teenager living in Eastern Europe who dreams of pop stardom as an escape from her small town and shattered family life. With the help of an unlikely mentor, Violet enters an international singing competition that will test her integrity, talent and ambition.

marcie   Jun 17, 2017   Comments Off on The Handmaid’s Tale: Everything You Need to Know About Season 2

[Warning: This article contains spoilers about the Season 1 finale of Hulu’s The Handmaid’s Tale. Read at your own risk!]

Season 1 of Hulu’s The Handmaid’s Taleended with Offred (Elisabeth Moss) being removed from Commander Waterford’s (Joseph Fiennes) house and carted off in a dark van. But that leaves a lingering question: is she being transported to safety or to her doom?

We’ll have to wait until the dystopian drama’s second season to find out whether Nick (Max Minghella) betrayed Offred or somehow engineered her escape — not to mention what her husband Luke (O-T Fagbenle) and best friend Moira (Samira Wiley) will do now that they’ve reunited in Canada. And while details are scarce about the show’s sophomore season, which will likely premiere next spring, here’s what we do know about what to expect when it returns:

1. Offred on a mission. In the Season 1 finale, Offred realized that her daughter Hannah has been practically under her nose the whole time. Wherever Offred winds up in Season 2, it’s a safe bet that her singular motivation will be reuniting with Hannah, and/or getting word to Luke that their daughter is alive. Of course, Serena Joy (Yvonne Strahovski) has threatened Offred that Hannah’s safety depends on the safety of Offred’s unborn child, so whether that agreement still stands after Offred gets taken away remains to be seen.

2. A baby for Offred? It’s up for debate how much time Season 2 will span, but it’s a safe bet that we’ll see Offred giving birth to a baby — a baby that may be handed over to the Commander and Serena Joy.

3. Answers about Offred’s fate. In the Margaret Atwood novel on which the series is based, readers never find out what happened to Offred, whose story ends at the same point as the Season 1 finale, with the van coming to take her away. Presumably, the show will definitively answer whether the van driver is a friend or foe.

4. The Resistance: In the first season, one episode was devoted to exploring what happened to Luke after he and Offred were separated, and she was captured. Similarly, the show gave us snippets of Moira’s story after she escaped from Gilead, but mostly in relation to Offred, until we saw her successfully make it to Canada. Will Season 2 follow concurrent storylines, one with Offred and the other handmaids; and one with Moira, Luke and their allies in Canada?

5. Rita playing a bigger role. One of the lingering questions from Season 1 is what Rita (Amanda Brugel) will do with all those letters Offred bequeathed her, written by women who had also been ripped from their “before” lives and forced into sexual servitude as handmaids. Perhaps Rita and Nick will team up, to dismantle the system from within the Commander’s house.

6. We’ll see Offred’s mother. Offred’s mother plays a large role in the book, but thus far hasn’t been seen in the series. That’s set to change in Season 2, showrunner Bruce Miller tells The Hollywood Reporter.

All 10 episodes of The Handmaids Tale Season 1 are available to stream on Hulu.

marcie   Jun 17, 2017   Comments Off on Max Minghella gets us through ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’

f you’re watching “The Handmaid’s Tale,” you probably have a thing for Max Minghella. The 31-year-old actor has a starring role as Nick, the stone-faced, ever-brooding driver for Commander Waterford and his wife. Heading into the penultimate episode of season one, we’re still not totally sure we can trust him, but we’re OK with turning our female gaze on his Eye. His clandestine affair with handmaid Offred [Elisabeth Moss] offers a temporary relief from her daily hell as a prisoner of Gilead, at least, and the steamy scenes between the two provide “a nice reprieve,” as Minghella puts it, from the show’s otherwise traumatic subject matter — for both the viewers and the actors.

“It could almost be in a romance novel, those scenes,” Minghella says on the phone from L.A. He’s driving — just like Nick! — en route to a meeting for his next project: his directorial debut, “Teen Spirit,” a movie-musical from the musical producers of “La La Land” starring Elle Fanning, which is due out in 2018. “So much of what [Elisabeth Moss] has to do is so uncomfortable and disturbing. To then be able go into a scene where she’s flirting with the lawn boy, I think is nice, you know?” he says.

In his dry British accent, he describes the enigmatic Nick as “vulnerable” deep down, says he’s been a hopeless romantic since he was a teenager and that he’s endlessly fascinated with the female gender. Swoon.

Watching “Jezebels,” I wondered, maybe Nick is just a fuckboi? We learn that he slept with a cook at Jezebel’s. When he breaks it off with Offred, under the guise of, “Oh, it’s too dangerous,” it felt to me like, maybe his ego was wounded after seeing her cavorting with the commander.

[Laughs] He’s not a perfect person by any stretch of the imagination. That last scene, that exchange between June [aka, Offred] and Nick in the kitchen, when he says, “My name’s Nick Blaine, I’m from Michigan,” and she’s like…“Whatever.” [Laughs] I thought that was very funny. It’s a very male mistake to think that giving such a small nugget of information about yourself is somehow a gift. I thought it revealed some kind of naivete about male and female dynamics. Made me laugh, that scene, especially when I watched it back.
